The Enchanted Cave 2 App Reviews

Excellent Execution.

For the type of feel or concept that this game is attempting to capture, it does so perfectly. The depth is subtle, but its there - the talent tree you climb as you level; the dozens upon dozens of enchanting options/combos; the convenient details that can make a big difference in how the game is played (the "auto move to stairs" option, etc.). The longer one plays the game, the more one appreciates just how well put together the game is. The developers did a phenomenal job here. Ive played dozens - if not hundreds - of iOS games to date, and this one is in my top 5 favorites. Well worth the mere 3$ price tag.

Wow

Shut up and take my money!

This game is great

In my opinion I love this game its really addicting. When I start playing I cant stop its like a drug. One thing u can probably add is dungeons, traps , more chests, and more monsters

Worth the pay

With the branching skill system, hours and hours of gameplay, so many levels and floors, and randomly generated caves, I say its worth the money, especially since its not a "pay to play" type of game. If you like dungeon crawlers, roguelite, adventure, etc. then get this game! You wont regret it*. *unless you do and you just hate video games.

Played on pc

This got even better on the mobile

Absolutely incredible.

I dont typically write reviews for games. To be fair, I dont typically even play iPhone games. However, I heard that Grant Kirkhope (composer of Banko Kazooie and other Rare game soundtracks) did the music, and I wanted to support it. So I picked it up and started playing. 10 hours later, Ive just beaten the boss. Everything about this game is brilliant. The level design, the difficulty, the soundtrack, the enchantment concept; all executed perfectly. If youre looking for a really great game for your iPhone/iPad, this may just be the best one out there.

Good, but one thing...

I would like to have iCloud supported. Not able to share my save between iPad and iPhone sadly.

Great - D-Pad and Accessories Shown

Absolutely amazing game, could be better with a dpad and if the clothes/armor youre wearing is shown on your character.

Great Game - Would love a d-pad

This game is worth your time and money. Having a blast. I wish there was a d-pad option though.

Perfect Game

Must buy. Buy it now.

True to the original

I really like a lot of the improvements in EC2. I missed a couple of things like armor set bonuses and the difficulty seemed turned way down. IIRC I remember grinding out 10 levels at a time, replaying a lot of them. In this one I waltzed right through the the last 70 levels. The skill tree is well done an crafting is fun and intuitive. One thing Id like to see is the ability to restart from scratch if you like. It may be there I just never saw it.

enchanting confusing

This is a fun game, not too tough and my only three complaints are that enchanting items is a bit confusing at first, the menus are hard to navigate on my ancient iPhone 4, and you go down in levels/skills acquired when you die. Other than that its a fun little time waster. My black lizard warrior (now the bald guy) will be glorious! If I can stop dying! (Ive stopped dying) UPDATE: While this game can have a mean learning curve Ive found that once you figure it all out, it becomes quite the slaughter-fest. I can easily clear anything up to level 60 and while a bit repetitive its fun. Worth checking out.

Months of Enjoyment

All it takes is a few seconds of a video of the gameplay and youll see why I love it. Well worth your money and more importantly worth your time. You will lose some hours playing through the gorgeous levels.

A-

Great dungeon crawling fun. Only complaints so far are (playing on an old school IPod touch 3G) a few minor crashes and text is very very small and hard to read.

Cool beans

Pretty fun game for the above average RPG fan. My only complaint is the soundtracks kinda bland.

Fabulous!

Plays great. The roguelike Ive been looking for. Always has me craving for another run.

Really good!

Very in depth game with a lot of strategy and loot! Real time killer too without much hassle.

To developer

I need to let you know how amazing the 2 enchanted cave games are, the 1st aged amazingly in my opinion, and I can spend HOURS optimizing my current gear in 2, I have actually spent 5 hours money grinding on floor 60 - 70 to buy gems, buy enchantment items, buy potions and pick axes to transmute (by the way thats a bit broken, making ANYTHING an artifact to keep forever) And I know this might be a bit of a late review, but I still felt it needed to be said.

6+ (iOS 9.x)

This title will rest alongside the staples of my iOS roguelike collection: Dream Quest, Pixel Dungeon, Sproggiwood, and Cardinal Quest 2. What an exceptional gem from an indie developer who understands the value of continued support beyond the date of purchase. We should patronize developers who promote and adhere to that standard.

Great Rouge/Diablo like dungeon crawler!

I was looking for a game exactly like this on iOS. If you are looking for a Diablo 1 type of experience with randomly generated dungeons with rpg elements, this is it!
